Kriti Sanon, Kajal starrer Do Patti has been in trouble since the music of the song Maiyya faced plagiarism allegations. Musician Nilanjana Ghosh Dastidar has accused the company, along with composer duo Sachet-Parampara, of copying a track by her husband, Rajarshi Mitter, for the song Maiyya from Netflix’s Do Patti.

Musician Nilanjana Ghosh Dastidar accuses Do Patti makers of Maiyya song plagiarism

Nilanjana has called out for accountability from T-Series and Sachet-Parampara and has shared a link to Mitter’s original composition.

In a post on Facebook, Nilanjana stated, “I AM ASKING ALL MY FELLOW MUSICIANS AND ARTISTS TO SHAME THIS MUSIC DIRECTOR AND THE ENTIRE JOKER T-Series music company! How DARE YOU GUYS EVEN DO THIS?! IF YOU CAN’T MAKE MUSIC THEN DON’T STEAL IT, YOU USELESS BUGGERS! SHAME ON YOU GUYS. SHAME SHAME SHAME! Sachet Tandon I AM SPEAKING DIRECTLY TO YOU, YOU SHAMELESS FILTHY THIEF! HOW DARE YOU NOT EVEN ASK FOR THE RIGHTS FROM MY HUSBAND?! YOU THIEF! GO TO HELL.”

As soon as he posted on Facebook, he received the support from Nilanjana. Netizens condemned T-Series and Sachet-Parampara. One user commented, “Sachet Tandon, shame on you, man.” Another user wrote, “I just compared both songs, and they’re identical, note by note.”

The film starring Kriti Sanon and Kajol, was released on Netflix on October 25. However, T-Series and Sachet-Parampara have responded to these latest accusations.
